I have 9 weeks to go until the baby is born and everyone says you gain most of your weight at the end which means I could be 200 lbs by the time she gets here and I'm afraid I won't be able to push her out! Or maybe this is just how your body reacts to being pregnant- we are all different- but if you try to do anything- DON'T walk- try to hit the pool- the walking on your small frame will hurt more than anything and could potentially do more damage than harm- i'm actually astonished your OB would rec. So, as for walking, I don't know if you gals have had this experience, but I get groin pain when I walk. I looked it up and read that a lot of women get that pain and it's likely swelling like any other part of your body but it's certainly one of the reasons I get tired out when I walk. You know, I think I really changed my eating habits for the worse when I found out I was pregnant and my body wasn't used to it. It seems the more weight I gain, the worse my habits get and the lazier I get. I keep telling myself "you shouldn't be eating this" or "you have plenty of time to go to the gym today", but I always eat it anyways and I never get my butt to the gym.

You have reached the very end of your pregnancy and with little or no warning, your baby has died in utero. There are other known situations – the baby may have had a seizure in utero and died. And as is the case for some, there is no known cause. When you have a stillbirth baby, in this day and age, you are always given the option to see, hold or even wash and dress the baby. You will need to decide whether you wish to spend time with the baby and with whom you wish to share this experience. You will not be thinking straight at this point so whatever you decide to do, it is the right thing for you at that moment. You may want to consult with family members or even clergy so that you make the choice that is right for you and your family. Some families may have a family plot where you can bury your baby, or you may decide to purchase a family plot where you know you and other family members will be buried alongside your baby. You should not feel that you have to hide your feelings from people – this is a serious and tragic loss. Of course you are the same person deep down, but you are dealing with a new reality and not one that you have had the opportunity to ever rehearse for. If your work place does not and you need more time, you can ask the hospital social worker, or a counselor you are seeing to intervene and help explain to your HR department the nature and depth of your loss so that you can have more time off from work. Your expanded respiratory and circulatory systems are providing the baby plenty of oxygen. Improving your posture will help you to breathe better, both during and after pregnancy. Your breathlessness will subside during the last few weeks of pregnancy, when the baby drops farther down into your pelvis and takes the pressure off your diaphragm. The increased hormones of pregnancy tend to cause the connective tissue in your body to soften and loosen up. One is the size of your abdomen, which may make it seem impossible for you to find a comfortable position. 10 Things I Learned After My 2nd - Trimester Miscarriage


This isn't something any of my doctors are willing to diagnose me with because we don't know if my water broke because my cervix began to open or if my cervix began to open because my water broke. I can only win this official diagnosis if I miscarry again during the second trimester, and - trust me - I'd happily go without this diagnosis. This super-long term has a more common name, Hughes Syndrome, and it's often called "sticky blood syndrome." Basically, women with it have an increased tendency to form clots in blood vessels, which can affect the placenta by mistakenly attacking it and resulting in a miscarriage, usually during the second or third trimester. This is something I will be getting tested for, and if I do end up having it, it's completely treatable during pregnancy with daily anticoagulants. This is actually the medical term for miscarriages. I take issue with both terms: spontaneous abortion and miscarriage. Second, miscarriage implicitly suggest that the woman did something wrong (i.e. An incomplete miscarriage is when tissue from the pregnancy remains in the uterus even after bleeding has begun. An incomplete miscarriage will either run its course when all pregnancy tissue has left the uterus, or a woman will have to seek treatment to have the remaining tissue removed. Because one of my twins' water broke, the risk for infection to the uterus and to me was drastically increased. I could opt to do this at about 14 weeks, or I could be monitored weekly to check if my cervix is beginning to open and have the procedure done at that point. The doctors have told me that any loss before 20 weeks is considered a miscarriage, while any loss after 20 weeks is considered a stillbirth. This term is the only term with any positive connotation behind it. A rainbow baby is one that comes from a successful pregnancy after a miscarriage.

If they are getting more and more intense speak to your doctor/midwife, before the 37th gestation may indicate preterm labor. Your multiple pregnancy is coming to an end, some will have already had their twin babies others are still waiting, and waiting, just remember it will happen that is one thing you can be sure of. Dreaming about your infants or even the labor and delivery is common and predictable as this will be the main thing on your mind in the last few weeks. You will now meet the two inside your belly very soon. Weeks 39 – 40: You are now over due for a twin pregnancy, you twinfants will continue to gain weight, and everything is in place. Your twin babies will need to stay until a healthy weight has been reached and they can sustain their own body temperature. All those discomforts of your twin pregnancy will soon be forgotten and replaced with kisses and cuddles with your precious newborn twins .

Dealing With Appetite Loss During Pregnancy - What to Expect


Here's how to make sure you are taking care of you and your growing baby even when you're feeling a bit green in the gills. But just as you begin stocking your refrigerator with healthy foods (and yes, sometimes those not-so-healthy cookies you’re craving ), loss of appetite — plus its common sidekick, nausea — strikes, turning your nose at the sight and smell of your favorite foods. Gaining enough pregnancy weight is the major signal that you’re eating enough to support your baby’s needs. If your appetite is still nowhere to be found by early in your second trimester, or if you aren't meeting the recommended weight gain in your third trimester, consult your doctor for a diet plan. Increasing hormones (including estrogen and the pregnancy hormone h CG — the ones responsible for making you cry at that phone commercial) also play a role in increasing nausea and your sensitivity to smell while decreasing your appetite. For the moments during the day when your appetite makes a brief appearance, consume as much protein and complex carbs as you can, which will keep your blood sugar stable and keep you fuller for a bit longer. To help combat nausea, talk to your doctor about taking additional vitamin B 6 or the FDA approved Diclegis, which contains a combination of vitamin B and antihistamine (these may help decrease nausea and increase your appetite). If you find you're still queasy, keep up your routine from the first trimester. That means drinking plenty of water, eating small portions, avoiding strong-smelling foods, making smart nutritional swaps and taking your prenatal vitamin daily to ensure you're getting all the nutrients you and your baby need. What’s happening: During the final months of your pregnancy, nausea has likely disappeared — and replaced by your growing belly. Your appetite is back with a vengeance, but a few bites and your belly feels like you just licked the plate clean. While the third trimester brings less appetite loss than you experienced in the first trimester and more of an appetite hindrance, managing your diet and nutrition is still important. It’s a good idea to borrow other tips from the first trimester: drink lots of liquids (also good if you're stopped up) and be sure to keep taking that prenatal vitamin.
