The counselor I met with on my first day (01/26/09) assured me that losing 130lbs was possible by simply following their diet plan and nothing more. She assured me that the cost of the plan included everything, no hidden fees, weekly weight loss guaranteed of 3-7lbs, and supplements would be supplied at no additional cost; although they were not necessary. When I asked to read it she stated she already went over all the details and began asking me questions about my personal life that I did not feel pertained to my weigh loss. When I came in (01/27/09) and I advised the girl at the front desk I was there to get started. She told me that according to my file I was not even in the preparation stage yet and I would have to speak with the counselor, I did not know what this meant. When I returned with my concerns the counselor told me I would not get started until I paid $378! Finally she scheduled me for a nutrition class to "get started" and this is when I realized it was clearly just a sales presentation to force the client into buying overpriced food (supplements). In the end she stated she did not have the authority to give me a refund, but would forward it to her supervisor and she would call me in the morning. In fact she reiterated that the supplements are necessary for weight loss under their program and the enrollment fee was non-refundable. On top of that I never officially began with the program, but I did visit the clinic every time I was required. It is apparent that the counselor did not have my best interest at heart. Once I finally did, I found out all the lies I was told and how I was taken advantage of!
They answered all my questions with no problem and they supported me through my entire weight loss and promise to continue to do so through the rest of it. At this meeting, Suzie told me nothing about the program but guaranteed I would lose 40 pounds in 18 weeks. I was given the following and told they were part of the program cost and were required for the program and for weight loss: one box of protein bars (7 bars, 10.7 oz), one large bottle of weight loss enhancers (200 capsules), one small bottle of minerals (40 caplets) attached to the large bottle, a bottle of vitamins (30), and a bottle of Carb Blocker dietary supplement (90 tablets). I also received several pages of paperwork and was asked to sign my name approximately 5 times on various pieces of paperwork in order to hear the rest about the program. Then I was instructed to return to the center after three days on the initial diet to obtain directions for the remainder of the program. I was strongly pressured at this initial meeting to sign up for another $1355.50 of products and supplements. I was charged $549.63 for one month of supplements, one box of product, and 52 weeks of meetings. Upon completing one and one half days on the initial diet, I believe I passed a kidney stone. At this course I was pressured again to sign up for the $1400 product and supplement package and shown how much cheaper the program was at this discount price. After calling the Quick Weight Loss Center and describing my circumstances to Suzie, I was told that no refunds could be made without corporate discussing the situation with my doctor. I requested the paperwork for that process.
I have lied myself through weight watchers, the paleo code and body for life. As for the diet, if you want to eat grilled chicken and veggies with no additional flavor, this diet is for you. QWLC and all the other weight loss centers will help you with that. I lost 68 pounds total, and a year later, I have maintained the weight loss. I have been on this diet since January and I've lost 70 lbs out of the 115 I had to lose total. I am paid through the year, and I have also paid for a year of maintainence. If you are in the right state of mind and ready to commit to a lifestyle change, this diet will work for you. So I have to watch that, I've only been on the program 7 days and have gone from 208 to 195. I was not eating to try to lose weight, now I eat constantly and the weight is coming off. Yes, they try to up-sell the program and their products.

I detoxed for 4 days and this is the first day of my weight loss regime. I asked for a refund and they told me no, as I had not stuck to the program! My biggest complaints are that they were NOT up front about the cost AND they have changed the rules on me. If you add all that up and deduct it from the price of the program it is not that expensive. I have been on the program for 12 weeks and have now lost 31 pounds. My weight loss slowed due to me not sticking with the program and cheating! Joyce: I have been on the program for 13 weeks now and have lost 41 lbs. I lost 60 lbs, but they said I did not stick to the diet, and that is untrue. Ev: I have been on the diet for 1 week and I have have lost 4 pounds. It is very expensive and if you do not lose weight they will blame YOU not the program. Anonymous: I have been on the program for 6 weeks and have lost 23 lbs. Michoboo: I have been on the program for 7 weeks and have lost 24 pounds! I have followed the program and have not cheated. If you do the program and stick to it…it works.
How Do Quick Weight Loss Centers Work? Quick Weight Loss Centers advocate a strict temporary diet. Diets In Review.com says that when you participate in the program, a consultant helps you come up with a weight loss plan and recommends certain foods for you. Although some people may experience weight loss through Quick Weight Loss Centers, the program is not appropriate for everyone. The primary component of the Quick Weight Loss Center program is dieting. Your consultant may also recommend certain food products sold exclusively by Quick Weight Loss.
The cost of the program happened to be prohibitive for my particular budge at the time, so I chose not to sign up. But then I impulsively decided to purchase some of their snack foods, and then later regretted the purchase because I determined it was not a good value for my particular situation. Martin coldly and insensitively informed me that FDA regulation does not permit QWLC to accept returned items and that company policy does not allow refunds. I then received a call from the district manager (DM) over that store, and I explained the situation. She explained that it's company policy - not FDA regulation - that disallows receiving returned items. The store manager's and district manager's stories were inconsistent, demonstrating blatant lack of integrity. I respectfully appealed to the DM to grant me one exception to company policy and to refund my money - money that was precious to me in a time of financial hardship.
I lost 40 pounds and I kept the weight off for over 3 years. The program works and the people are awesome in the support and guidance that they provide during and after your program. The program works but you have to be careful. The problem I have with QWLC is not with the program itself, but with its sales and marketing approach. I became very dissatisfied with QWLC and cannot recommend the program for the following reason: If however, problems arise, you will lose, but it may not be weight because all services and products must be purchased and paid for before you completely understand how the program works. So I spent all that money and they won't refund a dime, so I lost that money, the Dr. Please if you need to loose weight nothing but exercise and a good diet that you can get through the internet. They are concerned about your health and they take the time and effort to help you with the diet as well as your health. You have to be committed to staying on the program and not cheating.

Finally she scheduled me for a nutrition class to "get started" and this is when I realized it was clearly just a sales presentation to force the client into buying overpriced food (supplements). When I refused all of a sudden she claimed the clinic’s foods and excercise are a requirement in order to guarantee the weight loss and I would be incurring additional costs. In the end she stated she did not have the authority to give me a refund, but would forward it to her supervisor and she would call me in the morning. In fact she reiterated that the supplements are necessary for weight loss under their program and the enrollment fee was non-refundable. Once I finally did, I found out all the lies I was told and how I was taken advantage of!

I didn't do the program for the following reasons: I went to the program and was told that the price would be one price but they didn't tell me that it didn't include supplements. The program is not at all effective if you are needing to loose 5 to 30 pounds. Been on the program for 12 weeks and have already lost 80 pounds. I paid for the program, etc. This is the only way rational explanation that I can come up with for the pricing model. For the price you pay, it is expected that you have knowledgeable professionals to staff your centers. I look at the staff and I just see people working a job and though I have no tangible proof, you can tell that they are not really paid much. I purchased a 5 week plan, which includes an additional 6 weeks of stabilization/maintenance and all the supplements and whatnot that I would need for the entire 11 weeks. I have 3-4 more pounds to lose in the next week and a half.
You can go into the office and get your shot and weigh yourself and compare the numbers from when you started. The staff really keeps me encouraged and to ke. I will admit over the holiday break I may have gained a few pounds, but they said that was to be expected (they arent asking you to not enjoy your holiday break). As soon as you walk in the door you are greeted with smiles. They have a beautiful calming waterfall wall in their lobby and i they are working on renovating the outside of the building now. More x which i have had done in the past with another doctor but have not been completely satisfied with the results. I was amazed at the results of my botox. The Dr did a good job and my results also lasted much longer than my previous. From outside the clinic, one might not expect much but quickly find otherwise. More e on one and not only did he customize my menu for me but he also shared with me ways that I could improve my diet.
My family and I have been attending the classes at Cross Fit Vertigo since August of 2013. The coaches are amazing and the atmosphere is so inspirational. More the members are so supportive of each other and it definitely makes you feel comfortable and empowered. The experience is so life changing and the coaches are with you every step of the way. No matter your skill level, the workouts are very intense and rewarding at the same time. The workouts are super fun and challenging. The entire staff is both professional and friendly. My initial visit consisted of blood work and a consultation with the doctor. I have taken several weight loss pills and none have given me the results I get with phentermine.
Overall the reviews I read was that it does work but be prepared to pay more than you had expected. Additionally, they do sell you herbal supplements, and some of these have adverse side effects. But, he agreed with the staffer and gave it his blessing. You're right - info is withheld - I will try it for the 45 days and see what happens. Maybe this is his way of saying - you really need to lose the weight. I will not take them if that is the case and chalk up the cost to a learning experience. The very young and the elderly don't always metabolize in the same way. I wish you luck in your effort to lose weight and I hope you'll continue to post and let us know how you're doing. They make their money by selling you the suppliments. Cut out the sugar, carbs and fast foods. You can pay as you go but the products will cost more if you buy them as you need them instead of all at once. You can walk into any Weight Watchers center without joining and buy a package of their very good milkshakes for $5.99.
