Brown rice is healthy calories and would be an asset to a balanced diet. If your goal is to gain more weight, then brown rice can also be an option, but the balance is still vital as far as your health is concerned. To conclude, yes, brown rice is a very good option for weight-loss, however, it’s not the only measure you need to consider.

I just replace one of the rice meals with a plate of uncooked vegetables or I keep the white rice and add in V 8 vegetable juice. And rice is their staple food. But that's true, Asians eat rice with every meal and they are itty bitty! When they remove the hull of the rice to make white rice, they also remove most of the vitamins and fiber. White rice and brown rice have almost the same calories,so you may as well eat the brown and get the nutrition while yo're at it. It's not that rice will make you fat.it's the AMOUNT that makes you fat. Those EXTRA TOO MUCH white rice will be the thing that make it hard for you to lose weight! It depends on the way you cook your rice, and on course what kinf of rice it is. Just wanted to say that I also love rice and have it all of the time with whatever else I'm eating. I very rarely eat white rice when I'm trying to lose weight because it doesn't contribute to my fiber tally at the end of the day, and also, it's not even so much the rice itself that is the main attraction (although it is delicious & comforting), but all the sauces you slather it with, which are often LOADED with oil and other fats and salt! Also, I seem to have a really hard time limiting portions and servings sizes when I have white rice because I love it so much - which is the exact same case with pastas.
I’m of course talking about brown rice and white rice, the yin and yang of annoying diet arguments. Brown rice is the clean/healthy/good one, and white rice is dirty/unhealthy/bad one. The next area that brown rice is said to have a huge advantage over white rice is nutritional content. That’s their white rice and brown rice. For this reason, brown rice definitely does have the advantage over white rice in this area. All the fun stuff), white rice has an advantage over brown. And while rice in general tends to be one of the least problematic foods in this regard, the simple fact is that brown rice WILL cause some issues for some people, while white rice most likely never will. And every time they tested a brown and white rice from the same brand, the brown version always had a lot more than the white. Is this a reason to avoid brown rice and eat white instead? I personally like the taste of white and brown rice damn near equally.
