Ok here's one for all you excel gurus - I've been asked to create a spreadsheet keeping track of weight loss, however the lady in question would like it to read in stone and pounds as that's what she's used to. Anyone got any bright ideas how I can create a simple table (and graphs thereafter) which will read the weight correctly (ie 11.10 (for 11 stone 10 pounds) and still be functional as a number so I can use it in formula to compare to targets etc. I've tried the obvious, using IF formula, stone and pounds in seperate cells etc, but nothing provides enough functionality. I need to be able to track the following data: You can use the fraction option to format your cells. 1) You need to enter data such "11 stone 10 pounds" as "11 10/14" (where the space is important). 2) You can format your data to show this (rather than the decimal version of the fraction) by selecting the custom format and setting it to "# ?/14" (without the quotes, obviously). I don't suppose there is any way I can use that formula to give the read out without the /14 after it (ie 11 10 for 11 stone 10 pounds)? If you store all the data in lbs, then you could display it using e.g. That gives a perfect display of the data however it complicates things (as far as I can see) in a couple of ways. It requires having the data in a seperate field to the result (ie refering the cell with that formula back to a different call with the weight in lbs in), and also the resultant output is no longer a number therefore any fields calculated from this figure would also require being refered back to a different field. Target weight is filled out at the start, actually weight on a weekly basis, then variance and loss/gain calculated using simple formulas (I've stuck an IF in there too so when the 'actual' field is empty it doesn't give false results '=IF(C 34> 9, B 34-C 34, IF(C 34.
